Come join the ConVal Music Department for a fun fundraiser on Saturday, October 27, 2018!

The “Face Your Fears” haunted trail will be held in two variations:

  • the family-friendly trick-or-treat hour from 6:00-7:00 pm and
  • the ghoulish trail of tricks and horrors, from 7:15-9:00 pm.

This is one of the biggest fundraising events for the ConVal Music Department each year.

Varsity Girls Soccer Preliminary Round game at Oyster River 10/25 for a 3:30 pm.

Varsity Boys Soccer Quarterfinal Round game 10/27 at 2:00pm. This game will be played at Conant High School.

Unified Soccer Quarterfinal Round game vs Keene 10/30 at 3:00 pm.

The ConVal School Counseling Department partnered with the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF) to present information about college financial aid options.

The presentation laid out the steps necessary to navigate through the federal financial aid process (FAFSA), explored what type of aid programs are available, reviewed scholarship searches, and highlighted the importance of meeting deadlines.

Jennifer Kiley, the Director of the Region 14 Applied Technology Center at ConVal Regional High School, recently gave a presentation to the Rotary Club of Peterborough.

Kiley’s presentation gave an overview of the program, shared some current successes, and laid out plans for the future, including an enhancement of the articulation program with the New Hampshire Community College System (NHCCS).

Featured image of article: Robotics Students Attend Annual Joint Engineering Societies Conference

Students from the Region 14 ATC 5th block Robotics program took part in the Annual Joint Engineering Societies Conference at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord NH. Representatives from US FIRST Robotics and NH Department of Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut met with the students.

Students had the chance to discuss their STEM projects with professional engineers who provided students with valuable input and with insights from the industry.

About 45 ConVal High School students attended the 10th Annual Construction Career Day at the Hillsborough County Youth Center Foundation in New Boston on Friday.

New Hampshire Construction Career Days is a non-profit organization which brings together middle and high school students with representatives of the construction and transportation industries to explore career options through hands-on activities.

Featured image of article: Engineering Class Produces Dyson Challenge Chair

The first challenge in the ConVal Regional High School Applied Technology Center Engineering Lab was the Dyson Cardboard Chair.

Each year, the James Dyson Foundation hosts high school brain-teasing challenges that engage students in STEM concepts. The challenge was to design and build a chair from only cardboard materials.

Engineering teacher Karen Fabianski was impressed to see this group’s model and final product.
