Three singers and a pianist created a surprise opera flash mob in ConVal’s cafeteria on Tuesday. The experience is a new opera outreach project from the Colonial Theatre in Keene which aims to expose and educate people on the world of opera music.

The singers posed as kitchen and maintenance staff and pretended to be working in the cafeteria while students entered for lunch.

On Thursday, March 28, 2019, Mrs. Fabianski received the Program of Excellence Award at the Annual Conference of the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association in Kansas City, Missouri.

The engineering program at ConVal’s Region 14 Applied Technology Center was recognized, as the award letter noted, because the “school’s technology and engineering education program is truly exemplary among other programs in your state.”

FC Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund, Mönchengladbach, RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt — fans all over the world know these German soccer clubs which consistently rank high in the German Bundesliga and in the Europa-wide championship leagues.

To celebrate “Fußball” (soccer), the Goethe Institut organizes an annual “Bundesliga Total!” contest, in which students of German from around the nation demonstrate their soccer knowledge in a variety of contests by being matched against one another in their knowledge of the Bundesliga.

Congratulations to ConVal Regional High School for winning first place in the New England-wide “Theaterfest” contest.

The Theaterfest was organized by the Department of German and Scandinavian Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. It featured dramatic presentations in German by middle, high school and college students from New England.

ConVal’s winning entry was a 15-minute short play entitled “Zapping”
