ConVal A Partner in “NH Tackles Hunger” Campaign

As part of the statewide “New Hampshire Tackles Hunger” campaign, ConVal High School is partnering with our football team and WMUR in a concerted effort to help stock up local food pantries. Hunger and food insecurity are very real problems in our communities.

According to the latest statistics, about 13% of children are living in food insecure environments, meaning they do not know where their next meal will come from.

Please encourage your student to contribute some non-perishable food to this very important effort. Several items are of particular need, including peanut butter, jelly, tuna, soups, pasta, sauce and canned fruits and vegetables. Please, do not bring food in glass containers.

Food donations will be accepted in the main office and the main hallway of ConVal.

Several ConVal teams got a headstart and went shopping to get the food collection started. Last year, nearly 1,650 lbs in food donations and about $1,310 in cash were collected.
