ConVal Celebrates Student Learning With Awards And Scholarships

ConVal High School celebrated student achievement with its traditional Scholarships and Awards Night on June 14. Director of School Counseling Kim Chandler and Principal Gib West served as Masters of Ceremonies for the evening.

More than 130 students were recognized for their accomplishments and received departmental awards, recognitions by outside organizations, and scholarships totaling more than $100,000 and covering more than 70 different categories.

The recipients of recognitions, monetary awards, and scholarships were:

In addition to the student awards, the work of three long-term supporters of ConVal Athletics was highlighted at the awards ceremony. Bev Bacon and Margaret Dauphinais were each recognized with a Conval Athletics Volunteer of the Year Award, and Paul Simpson’s long-standing volunteer work involving the volleyball program was honored with a Cougar Courage Award.
