LaRoche Receives DAR Outstanding Sea Cadet Medal

Cadet Chief Petty Officer Patrick LaRoche has received the DAR Outstanding Sea Cadet Medal at the annual inspection of the Monadnock Squadron. Patrick is the son of LTJG Jane LaRoche and Paul LaRoche Jr. and is a senior at ConVal Regional High School.

The DAR Outstanding Cadet Medal is awarded to a cadet of outstanding ability and achievement in a non-ROTC, military-affiliated cadet program and must have distinguished himself through outstanding leadership, honor, service, courage, and patriotism.

Patrick has been a member of the Monadnock Squadron since 2011 and has held every rank in the Naval League Cadet and Naval Sea Cadet Corps. In addition to the Sea Cadets, for ConVal he has played four years of football, four years of hockey (one year as manager) and four years of varsity lacrosse two of which he was a team captain.

Patrick maintains a 3.7 GPA and is in the top 25 of his class. He will be attending college and pursue a military career.
