World Language Students Succeed At Poetry Recitation Contest

Congratulations to the two dozen ConVal students of German and Spanish who had qualified for the annual Foreign Language Poetry Recitation Contest at Hanover High School.

The competition took place on December 14 and gathered language students from 15 New Hampshire high schools to recite poems in their target language before a panel of judges.

All students did a great job during the competition which was held in several rounds, depending on language level. The event culminated in the Hanover High School Auditorium with the announcement of the following winners from ConVal:

German 1

  • 2nd place: Max Shumway
  • 3rd place: David MacKay

German 3

  • 1st place: Liam McCall
German 4
  • 1st place: David Weber
  • 3rd place: Kyle Shearer
