On Wednesday, January 16, five Conval students attended the open house at Maxt Makerspace in Peterborough to learn more about the new Phaze Welding Technology Center.
The students had the opportunity to interact with industry representatives from NH Ball Bearings, American Steel, and Hitchiner, as well as NH Department of Education Commissioner, Frank Edelblut, and learn about scholarship opportunities for the 130-hour course that leads to industry certification.
MAxT Makerspace is located at 49 Vose Farm Road in Peterborough. MAxT provides resources for creative people in the Monadnock region: shared equipment, studio space, education, and coworking. For more details, see http://www.maxtmakerspace.org/.
