VLACS Students Meet For Orientation

Students who have enrolled in a Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS) course this semester meet with librarians Ashley Jones and Rachael Bowman for an orientation.

VLACS is an online public high school that affords students the opportunity to enroll in courses that might not fit into their regular schedules or that allow them to explore special learning interests. Course offerings include traditional courses, such as Art, Economics, or Psychology, as well as non-traditional courses, such as Green Design and Technology, Hospitality and Tourism, or Veterinary Science.

Since students progress at their own pace, VLACS courses take self-discipline and solid time management skills to complete. Classes are based on the mastery of competencies, and credit may be earned through one or more learning pathways.
