By acting out scenes from the play and getting notes on the characters' motivation, students were able to get a deeper understanding of Shakespeare's writings.

MacGregor is a classically-trained actor with almost two decades of experience as an actor, theatre director, and teacher. He holds a Masters in Advanced Teaching of Shakespeare, a course taught by the Royal Shakespeare Company, and is one of just three graduates with Distinction. He has directed almost 80 productions, including national and international tours, and is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
MacGregor's theatre workshop was conducted as an in-school field trip in the Lucy Hurlin Theatre during TASC and Block 3.

Students, a mix of novice and more experienced coders, scheduled themselves to this special event during TASC. Librarian Ashley Jones introduced a variety of coding-related activities and online tutorials. Students were free to choose and explore any of the activities, with computer teacher Gil Morris serving as a faculty resource.
The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science.
The coding events have since become a concerted, worldwide effort to celebrate computer science. This year, 132,685 Hour of Code events were registered in over 180 countries.

They shared how they are personally engaged in raising mental health and suicide awareness and how they try to inspire students to show greater empathy and kindness to one other at school.
Rosie Crooker (junior), Cruz Dellasanta (senior), and Hannah Doherty (senior) organized the Yellow Tulip Project with the support of the Peterborough Garden Club. The Yellow Tulip Project addresses the stigma surrounding mental illness and seeks to build a community of people who realize that hope happens when youth and community leaders work together.
9th graders Callie Boisvert and Abbey Shumway organized the "Break The Silence" 5K race for suicide prevention. The fundraiser brought in over $1,500 that will be donated to the New Hampshire chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Senior Catrina Kipka was the driving force behind the plan to bring motivational speaker James Orrigo to ConVal in the spring of 2020. Orrigo performs under the stage name Lad in a Battle and seeks to inspire students to live purposefully through service to others.

This survey link asks questions about your general perception of CTE programs.
CTE courses range from accounting to agriculture, from visual and performing arts to welding, and everything in between (for full details, please see this Career and Technical Education Program grid).
In fact, CTE also supports students down to grade 5 with career exploration activities and resources!
The CTE center that serves students in the Conant, ConVal, and Mascenic school districts is the Region 14 Applied Technology Center. CTE, formerly known as voc-tech, gives students real-world, hands-on experience in a variety of employment fields and offers opportunities for dual credit courses. Industry-recognized credentials can give students an advantage after graduation.
Despite the proven indicators of CTE success – 95 percent of 2017 CTE graduates are employed, in college, or serving in the military – there is always room for enrollment growth, so we hope that you help us improve by taking this survey.
Please choose questions that are appropriate for the way you identify yourself for the survey.
