Youth and Government

The purpose of Youth and Government is to prepare participants for moral and political citizenship in local, state or national government roles. Youth and Government provides guidance, training, and an experience in the American democratic process of state government. The goal of the club is to get students familiar with the state legislative process.  Students write bills on issues that they are passionate about. The bills are sent to the Youth and Government state program and form the content when the group goes to Concord for a day and also for a two-day, overnight mock legislative session.  Students can also choose to run for office in the mock legislature in Concord.  Please see Mrs. Gagnon or Mr. Heider if you are interested.
