For the recent Monadnock Chorus spring concert, the ConVal art department was contacted and commissioned to create three works of art.
Creating the works were three pairs of collaborators: seniors Nik Batty & Anna McGuiness, juniors Eamon Welby & Jaclyn Clark, and art department chair Ben Putnam and his wife Ann Putnam. All works needed to be 4’x4′ and were inspired by Dan Forrest’s composition “Requiem For The Living.”
The art works were displayed in the Peterborough Town House where the Monadnock Chorus performed Dan Forrest’s powerful “Requiem for the Living”, Beethoven’s “Elegische Gesang”, and Elgar’s “Nimrod from Enigma Variations.”
