School Counseling

Welcome to the ConVal School Counseling Department!

The mission of the school counseling department is to provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program that encourages the highest level of student achievement through growth in academic, career, and personal/social domains.

At ConVal, every student is assigned a school counselor who will assist in course registration, four-year planning, career exploration, post-secondary planning (to include exploring college, trade school, career school, military or employment), academic support and counseling support. Our student assistance counselors offer both individual and group counseling around topics including relationships, grief and loss, core regulation, and transition. Our career counselor coordinates internships, extended learning opportunities, independent studies, and career assessments. Our registrar provides support around transcripts, report cards, new student registration, working papers, and appointments.

Please take a minute to review the many resources listed on the right hand side of this page. If there is something missing that you would like to see, please let us know!

The counseling department will send parent emails on a regular basis regarding upcoming events such as college planning nights, financial aid nights, Naviance trainings, 8th grade orientation, registration, etc.
