Course Selection Resources

Below you will find links to helpful resources that will help navigate the course selection process.

Course Selection Process Overview:

Current ConVal High School Students (9th, 10th, 11th)

  • School counselors will be presenting course selection information to current ConVal students  on Friday, February 5th during TASC.
  • Following that info session, students should review course selection information with their parents (program of studies, course selection sheet for their respective grade) to plan their course selections.
  • The portal to select courses will be open beginning Friday, February 5th for students to make their course selections online.  The window to make course selections online will be open until Friday, February 12th.  It is essential that students request courses in the online portal during this window.
  • Counselors will meet with students individually beginning on February 15th to finalize their course selections.
  • Faculty will review course requests with their departments, and teachers and counselors will work with students to revise course selections as needed based on teacher recommendations.

Current 8th Grade Students:

  • ConVal School counselors will be presenting course selection information to 8th grade students at Great Brook School on February 17th, and at South Meadow School on February 18th.
  • A parent night for rising 9th graders is scheduled virtually for Wednesday, February 17th at 6:30, and will include information regarding course selection.
  • Following the presentation to students, students should review the course selection information (program of studies, course selection sheet) with their parents and make selections on the sheet.
  • Middle school counselors will meet with students to finalize their course selections and enter them into the student information system.

If there are any questions regarding course selection, please reach out to your/your student’s school counselor or call the school counseling office  924-4120 or reach out directly to your school counselor.
