On Saturday, January 19, ConVal hosted the VEX Robotics Tournament. The competition was fought among dozens of teams from New Hampshire and Vermont.
In the VEX Competitions, which are presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) concepts are put to the test on the playing field as robots compete in autonomous and joystick-driven modes. VEX tournaments are held at the regional, state, and national levels, and local champions go on to compete against the best in the world at VEX Worlds each April.
ConVal’s VEX Robotics team Apollo #1824 consists of Max Heck, Rowan Inglis, Brigham Boice, Abby Watson, Adam St Amand, Avery Crowley, and Jack Koester.
