There is no question about it: Under ATC teacher Amanda Bastoni, the ConVal Photo and Video program has made great strides and met with success at several regional and national competitions. Last year, a ConVal Junior won Gold at the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for his Rembrandt-lighting photo of an egg. This year, two ConVal students are National Silver medal winners.
Congratulations to sophomore Megan MacLaren; her photo, “Question Everything,” was awarded a National Silver Medal. Congratulations also to junior Dominique Wheeler; her photo, “Harley Beth,” was awarded a National Silver Medal.
Only 24 middle and high students from the state of NH were selected to receive National awards, so it is a particular honor for ConVal to have two representatives chosen for their art work. The award National Awards Ceremony will take place on June 8th at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
