Updates From The ConVal School Counseling Department

Here are some updates from the ConVal School Counseling Office:

ALL STUDENTS

Second Semester Begins January 28, 2019

Students should see their counselor well in advance to ensure their schedule is set for second semester. The last day to add new classes for the semester is February 1.

Registration Process Begins February 5, 2019

Students will begin the process of selecting courses for the 2019-2020 school year. The process will begin with small group meetings with the school counselors, who will review the course offerings and the course registration sheet. From there, individual appointments will be scheduled to review student’s course selections. Students will receive a pass in their 1st block class the day of their appointment and are strongly encouraged to keep this meeting.

The 2019-2020 Program of Studies will be available on the website starting January 28, 2019. Students and parents are strongly encouraged to read the Program of Studies to help in making decisions about courses.

We will once again be using the PowerSchool portal for course registration. Students and parents are invited to request classes together online prior to the student’s appointment. However, students will meet individually with their school counselor to ensure the selections are appropriate and that all requirements are met. The portal will open February 8th.

Students and parents who need their account information should contact their school counselor.
