The ConVal A Cappella Groups attended The Voices of the 603 festival on Friday, October 27th.
As part of this festival, the students come together at the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord, NH for a morning of workshops, rehearsal and then an adjudicated evening performance.
During the morning workshops, students had the option to attend classes on arranging music, stage presence, and choreography, beatboxing, working with microphones, body mapping and more. They also had the opportunity to perform for Ball and the House (a professional Boston-based a cappella group) and receive one-on-one coaching and feedback on their performance.
During the evening portion, the students perform two songs for adjudicators in a concert that also features university a cappella groups, various other choirs from around the state of NH and a performance by Ball in the House. The Morin Tune a cappella group received a silver rating and The Clef Hangers received a gold rating for their performance.
