The ConVal High School Band participated in the Great East Music Festival on May 13.
They performed a repertoire of “American Barndance” by contemporary composer Richard Saucedo and “Pirates of the Caribbean” by film scorer Hans Zimmer.
They were awarded the Platinum Medal for Performance and participated in a workshop facilitated by Dr. Donald Running, a faculty member at Bridgewater State University.
After the festival, the band members went to Six Flags New England to celebrate their success.
