Film fans from across the state flocked to Concord on Saturday, May 21, to view this year’s best student films at the 2016 New Hampshire High School Short Film Festival (NHHSSFF).
Twenty-seven short films, documentaries, and public service announcements (PSAs) had made it to the finals, including three entries from ConVal High School students. This marked the first year that ConVal participated in the festival.
In the end, freshman Olivia Mullins emerged as a Jury Award finalist for her 6-minute, 39-second documentary titled “I’m with the Band,” a film short about what it means to be a member of the ConVal Band. Mullins’ prize package included software and an Adobe Creative Cloud membership.
For more on Mullins and her motivation to do the movie, see this Monadnock Ledger Transcript article and this article in the Keene Sentinel.
Congratulations, Olivia!
