As is tradition, the ConVal Games kicked off the weekend Homecoming activities at ConVal High School on Friday, September 16.
Students could participate in a wide variety of activities: School Counseling sponsored Hole in One in the link, Social Studies teachers Amy Rushford and Sara Longo hosted Cookie Decorating in one of the classrooms.
Health and Wellness teachers Gretchen Lima, Taryn Hagan, and Nate Gagnon organized kickball on the softball field while Social Studies Teacher Greg O’Brien and School Counselor Todd Bennett played Ultimate Frisbee with students.
Science Teachers Andria Johnson and Carol Young manned the “Minute To Win It” table while Social Studies teachers Chris Heider, Eric Bowman, and Greg Leonard were engaged in the flag football games on Stadium field.

In Sarah Gilpatrick’s Mathematics classroom, students enjoyed a “Just Dance” station.
There were puzzles, board games and card games available in the library with the librarians Rachael Bowman and Ashley Jones while, at the same time, English teacher and ConVal C.A.R.E.S. coordinator Leslie Holcombe had students create cards for hospitalized kids.
Art teacher Ben Putnam and World Language teachers Velka Pacheco-McMahon (Spanish) and Liz Concannon (German) were at the sidewalk chalk station while Mathematics teacher Eric Saucier held a “Basketball ‘Knockout'” competition in the gymnasium.
Students could play giant (and regular) Jenga with Science teachers Elizabeth England and Robin Croteau and students who enjoy Cornhole could play the game with special educators Mike Derby and Tyler Mudrick.
To cool off from the games, students could get some ice from the Kona Ice truck!
