Two ConVal students, Beecher Clifton-Waite (Class of 2015) and senior Michael Zrzavy, were honored with two, first-ever presented James Grant Youth Achievement Awards. The presentation was part of the 2017 Community Awards Gala that was held at the Shattuck Golf Club’s Cathedral Ballroom on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 from 5:30 to 9:00pm.
Both students were honored for their commitment to community service. Beecher Clifton-Waite is currently a college sophomore studying Chemical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Because he was at college on the date of the gala event, his parents accepted the award in his place. Michael Zrzavy will graduate from ConVal Regional High School in June and plans to attend Fordham University in the fall.
The Community Awards Gala is organized annually by the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce. Attended by individuals from over 22 towns and cities within the Monadnock Region, the event serves as an opportunity to honor those that have made significant contributions to enhance the quality of life in our communities and makes the Greater Peterborough area a better place to work and live.
