ConVal High School announced today that seniors Jason Frank and Lily Denehy have been named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program.
A Letter of Commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, was presented by the school principal Gib West to these talented seniors.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2018 competition for National Merit Scholarship Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2018 competition by taking the 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
Jason is from Peterborough and is the son of Virginia Kemp and Jonathan Frank; Lily is from Hancock and is the daughter of Susie Spikol-Faber and Dee Dennehy.
