Envirothon is an extra-curricular opportunity for students learn about forests, water systems, fish, wildlife, soil, and how to be stewards of the environment.

It has run for an impressive 28 consecutive years at ConVal, and is a fun and engaging way to learn about and enjoy the natural world.

Envirothon is an environmentally themed academic competition for high school students organized by the Envirothon program of the National Conservation Foundation (NCF). There are two competitions each year – one on Soils in the Fall, and another in the Spring where students investigate a current issue and present solutions to a panel of judges.

We are always looking for new members, and no prior experience is needed. Come join our team!

The mission of the Envirothon Team is to develop knowledgeable, skilled, and dedicated citizens who have an understanding of natural resources and are prepared to work towards achieving and maintaining a balance between the quality of life and the quality of the environment.

This mission is accomplished by developing in students an understanding of the principles and practices of natural resource management as well as through practice in dealing with complex resource management decisions.
