For his work with the Firelight Theatre Workshop in Peterborough, ConVal English teacher Jason Lambert was honored at the 18th Annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards. The Awards ceremonies were held on Saturday, January 25, at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord.
Founded in 2017 by co-artistic directors Jason Lambert and Nora Fiffer, this was Firelight Theatre Workshop’s first year of eligibility for the awards.
“For our two plays eligible, Body Awareness and Love and Information by Olivier and Obie award-winning playwright Caryl Churchill, we had nine professional category nominations — for acting, directing, including both plays being nominated for best production,” Lambert said.
Nora Fiffer also won for best director for Body Awareness. Lambert had been nominated for directing Love and Information and was a finalist for Best Supporting Actor, also for Body Awareness.
The Firelight Theatre’s work continues. “We are excited to announce our third season in the middle of February,” Lambert noted in closing. “Please learn more about the Firelight Theatre Workshop at FirelightTheatreWorkshop.com.”
