Robin Croteau’s Spring 2016 Oceanography class has won the Honorable Mention Award in the film category of the 2016 Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Student Contest. The entire class collaborated on an animated short film, entitled “Hello Me, Goodbye Sea,” which contained all-original illustrations and text.
As Anne Leslie of the Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Program organization wrote in an email, “Your submission was amazing and stood out from the more than 1,200 high school entries from around the world. You should be incredibly proud of your accomplishment!” Bow Seat works to inspire the next generation of ocean caretakers through education and engagement with the arts, science, and advocacy.
As Honorable Mention winners, the members of the Oceanography class are the recipients of a cash award. Congratulations all!
