Three ConVal students, Grace Christensen (sophomore, soprano voice), Christopher Clark (senior, bass voice), Sandra MacKay (freshman, violin), joined together with over 500 students throughout NH to participate in the 2018 New Hampshire All-State Festival this past weekend.
Students prepare for auditions each fall and the top performers in each instrument are chosen to participate in one of five ensembles: Mixed Choir, Treble Choir, Orchestra, Concert Band or Guitar Ensemble. The students gather in their respective ensembles for 12 hours of rehearsal over two and a half days with a culminating performance at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, NH.
Christensen and Clark participated in the NH All-State Mixed Choir under the direction of Dr. Pearl Shangkuan and MacKay participated in the NH All-State Orchestra under the direction of John Page.
Grace Christensen received special recognition for receiving the top score in her audition room.
