Representatives from The Link, ConVal’s literary magazine/newspaper, attended the 68th New England Scholastic Press Association (NESPA) conference which was held at the Boston University College of Communication on May 2.
ConVal students joined hundreds of other high school editors, writers, and artists from across New England. The students listened to speakers and attended workshops on a variety of topics including photojournalism, ethics, law, and marketing.
This year, for the first time, ConVal also entered pieces into the NESPA annual competition. The Link was awarded “Highest Honors” for overall publication of a school magazine and Annie Henry’s piece “A Juice Cleanse for the Brain” was given a “Special Achievement” award for non-fiction.
ConVal competed against division II schools (800-1200 students) from across New England.
