Science teacher Beth Wallace was recognized as a New Hampshire Scholars Champion during a breakfast ceremony in the Dining Center Banquet Hall at Southern New Hampshire University on December 7, 2016.
The “Breakfast of Champions: Celebrating School Business Partnership” event was jointly sponsored by the New Hampshire Department of Education and Unitil. It brought together businesses, educators, and legislators to discuss emerging trends in workforce development.
Awards were presented to community leaders who exemplify outstanding business education partnerships and have a decisive impact on student success. Wallace was recognized for her leading role in creating a school-business partnership between ConVal Regional High School and New Hampshire Ball Bearing (NHBB) in Peterborough. Wallace’s course in Advanced Manufacturing involves skills development, job shadowing, and internship opportunities. It has led to student employment opportunities upon graduation.
