This group of students got ready to attend the Women In Science and Technology (WIST) Forum University of New Hampshire (UNH) Manchester.
Following the keynote address, panelists from a wide variety of science, technology, engineering and math fields gave presentations and reflected on their education, careers, field choices, and work history. Speakers emphasized what high school students need to know for a rewarding future career in science and technology.
The WIST Forum, offered since 2000 to more than 400 attendees every other year, has proven to be a very effective day and networking opportunity for high school students. The event is geared towards girls, but is also relevant to boys. It allows students to learn more about careers in science and technology directly from successful women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
