Woodshop Students Create Functional, Stylish Mallets

For their midterm exam in Mike Scaramellino’s Woodshop class, ATC students demonstrated their skills by creating directions for the making of wooden mallets that were both functioning and stylish.

“This was the first project that the students did on their own,” said Scaramellino. “Having watched step-by-step YouTube tutorial videos ahead of the assignment, the students had to develop their own directions, and then follow those directions in executing their projects.”

The exemplar mallets are exhibited in the ATC atrium for the next couple of weeks. Using a QR code link to a Google form, visitors to the exhibit can cast their votes for the best in show wooden mallet.
