Congratulations to Callie Boisvert and Abbey Shumway who were selected as the recipients of the Silent Servant award and a $500 prize from the Peter R. Marsh Foundation. The award recognizes outstanding high school students who have demonstrated altruistic and selfless voluntary service to their communities.
Boisvert and Shumway were recognized for initiating the “Break the Silence 5K” race which they first organized during their freshman year at ConVal. The race has taken place for the past three years and has raised a total of more than $13,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
