Rachael Bowman Recognized As School Librarian Of The Year

The New Hampshire School Library Media Association is pleased to announce that ConVal High School’s Rachael Bowman has been awarded the 2022 School Librarian of the Year award. This award recognizes ongoing excellence in school librarianship and leadership in the school library community, at local, regional, and/or state levels.

Bowman will be recognized at the NHSLMA 2022 Conference at the Grappone Center in Concord on March 25. In addition to being honored at the NHSLMA conference, she will also be recognized at the Annual NH Excellence in Education Awards Celebration, also known as the “ED”ies, on Saturday, June 4.

Bowman would like to thank NHSLMA for this recognition and is honored to accept the award on behalf of ConVal High School’s Library, Integration, and Technology Services (LITS) team. She is grateful for the support of the students, staff, and administration of ConVal School District.

Bowman would like to recognize one person in particular, her co-librarian Ashley Jones, without whom she would not be in a position to accept this award. Together, Bowman and Jones were recognized by the Annual NH Excellence in Education Awards for the best-in-the-state library program at ConVal Regional High School in 2019.
