ATC teacher Sarah Grossi meets with her Careers in Education students to model effective strategies for morning meetings in elementary grades. Morning Meeting is an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success, socially and academically.
The sharing portion of morning meeting is highlighted by the “talking stick” that gives each student in this simulation an opportunity to speak and be heard in a give-and-take style conversation that builds conversational skills and perspective-taking.
