ConVal Annual Winter Concert December 20

The Annual Winter Concert will be performed on Tuesday, December 20, at 6:30 pm in the ConVal gym.

The following ConVal High School choral and instrumental ensembles will perform under the direction of Choral Director Brian Moore and Band Director Jim Wickham, respectively: Chamber Choir, The Trouble Clefs, Contemporary Band, Jazz Band, Select Choir, Concert Band, and Concert Choir.

New to the program this year will be the addition of the Peterborough Elementary Fourth Grade Choir which will be performing three songs under the direction of Hannah Petrick.

The ConVal High School performers will entertain the audience with a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from traditional Hannukah Festival music, performed by the Concert Band, to “Tom Sawyer” by the Canadian rock band Rush, played by the Contemporary Band.

The vocal ensembles will perform an equally wide-ranging repertoire: there will be traditional songs like “The Sleigh” and “Winter Wonderland” to modern classics like “This Christmas” by soul singer Donny Hathaway and “Don’t Save It All For Christmas Day” by Celine Dion.

As is now tradition, the Annual ConVal Winter Concert will conclude with “Christmas Festival” which will give visiting alumni and audience members a chance to sing along to a medley of holiday songs.

The Annual Winter Concert is an audience favorite. Please arrive in time to get a good seat!
