ConVal Competes At NOSB Nor’Easter Bowl

ConVal had two Ocean Bowl teams compete over the weekend at the Nor’Easter Bowl.  This regional event was held at the University of New England and featured 18 teams from 11 Maine and New Hampshire high schools.
The competition tests the students’ knowledge of Ocean Science and Marine Policy with a series of buzzer questions and team challenge questions.  ConVal had a strong showing at the competition with a 2nd and 4th place finish.  York High School defeated ConVal in the final seconds of the deciding match in a tense and exciting finish.
The ConVal team will share a team prize a kayak trip at the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve – a one-day guided, interpretive, kayak trip in the Great Bay Estuary. Tour starts at the Great Bay Discovery Center in Greenland, New Hampshire.
“We are graduating six seniors from our teams” says coach Ken Cloutier.  “I’ll miss their contributions and wish them the best of luck as they continue their education.”
