ConVal Adult Diploma Program Offers Classes Starting March 21

ConVal High School’s Adult Diploma Program has recently been awarded a grant that could allow ConVal to offer night classes to students and adults from the surrounding communities who have not completed their high school diploma.

Eligible students and adults will have the opportunity to recover credits for classes they may have previously failed, take a class to get ahead on credits/graduate with their cohort, or complete credit requirements for their high school diploma.

ConVal ADP is considering offering night classes this spring in the following areas:

  • English – Students/adults looking for credits in English 9, 10, 11 or an English elective may enroll
  • Social Studies – Students/adults looking for credits in US History, American Government and Economics, or Global Studies may enroll
  • HiSET Tutoring – Students/adults looking to be eligible to take the Official HiSET Test may enroll
  • Math – Students/adults looking for credits across across levels of Algebra may enroll

Classes will run for ten to twelve weeks (one night a week, 3 hours per class, day of week to be determined by the course teacher). The anticipated start date for courses will be the week of March 21, 2022.

  • English with Tyler Mudrick will run every Monday from 5-8 pm, starting March 21.
  • HiSET tutoring with Chris McCullough will run every Monday from 5-8 pm, starting March 21.
  • Social Studies with Eric Bowman will run every Tuesday from 5-8 pm, starting March 22.
  • Math with Michael Derby will run every Wednesday from 5-8 pm, starting March 23.

Courses will run through June 6, 2022. For adults or students not currently enrolled at ConVal High School there will be a registration fee of $150 per course.
