ConVal High School Open House A Success

On Thursday, ConVal High School held its annual spring Open House. The event gave parents and guardians an opportunity to meet with their student’s TASC homeroom teacher, classroom teachers, and school counselor. ConVal School Board members Dick Dunning and Alan Edelkind were also in attendance to meet and greet parents.

More than 100 families came out to interact with teachers and school counselors. On breaks between classroom visits, they enjoyed seeing examples of student work, such as a wall of 2D artwork in the art wing and a slideshow of photographs for which students had won Scholastic Medals in the digital photography area. Some parents signed up to volunteer at future school activities.

Parallel to the second semester Open House, parents of incoming students also had an opportunity to visit the school and to meet principal McKillop and other members of the administration, including Director of School Counseling Terri Drogue. ATC Director Jen Kiley joined families on tours of the Applied Technology Center facilities.
