ConVal Student Interviewed On WMUR’s Chronicle

A few weeks ago, over 30 ConVal High School students attended the New Hampshire Construction Career Days. This two-day event brought together high school students and representatives of the construction and transportation industries to explore career options through hands-on activities at the Hillsborough County Youth Foundation Center in New Boston.

Nearly 70 exhibitors were at hand to share their experiences in construction and transportation-related fields. The event focused on increasing awareness of careers in heavy equipment operation, welding, plumbing, carpentry, electrical wiring, surveying and engineering, land clearing, underground utilities, and other construction-related jobs.

One of the ConVal students, Sam Donahue, proved her talents in operating a large truck, backing it into a designated parking area. Afterward, she was interviewed by WMUR for a story on the broadcast Chronicle which you can watch here.
