ConVal Students Do Well On German 1 Exam

The American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) has just announced the results of the National German Exam for German 1 students. The test compares students in German level 1 across the entire country.

Congratulations to the following ConVal students:

  • Gold Award: Kara Keiper
  • Silver Awards: Audra Kratzenberg, Eva McCullough, Kendall Sullivan, Jack Craig, Abigail Towers, Logan Decker, Jarrett Wohle
  • Bronze Award: Lydia Cleveland
  • Achievement Awards: Donovan Sweeney, Sarah Holdredge, Avery Swasey

“We are extremely proud of how all of our students did,” said Frau Hodgdon and Frau Concannon. “These results are tremendous, considering the students had not had German in 4 months. We know the future of the German program at ConVal is bright!”

The National German Exam is administered each year to nearly 25,000 high school students of German. Normally given in February, this year, the testing window was extended to May 15 due to the shift to remote instruction in school systems across the country.
