ConVal High School Wins Library Program Of The Year Award

Librarians Rachael Bowman and Ashley Jones were honored at the 26th Excellence in Education Awards on June 8th for creating the best-in-the-state library program at ConVal Regional High School.

In their acceptance speech, Bowman and Jones praised the New Hampshire School Library Media Association (NHSLMA) “for fostering a professional community that is both generous and collegial” and thanked them for recognizing the ConVal program.

The award recipients expressed gratitude to the ConVal School Board and Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Rizzo Saunders “for their consistent support of our district libraries” as well as to Assistant Superintendent Dr. Ann Forrest “for her help guiding us through the transformation process and allowing us the time to put it into practice.”

They also lauded “Principal Gib West for his unwavering support of our library program and encouraging us to take on leadership roles” and thanked “Michelle Voto, our soon-to-be principal, for continuing to champion our mission.”

After acknowledging a few more supporters of the library program at ConVal High School, Bowman and Jones thanked “all of the students over the past four years who have helped us make the library the heart of our school.”

Congratulations to our award-winning librarians!
