Rachel Sturges, a senior at ConVal Regional High School and a New Hampshire Youth Poet Laureate, was recently the subject of a feature article in the Keene Sentinel.
In the article, Sturges explained that poetry is often not an area of interest for young people because the art form can come across as too academic and intimidating. Sturges’ poetry instead is reflective, personal, and often focuses on natural and religious imagery.
