Congratulations to Dylan and Dalton Coyne who garnered a Bronze Medal in 5v5 Basketball at the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games.
Emily Edick was a member of the track and field team. She placed third in shot put, also winning a bronze medal. In addition, Edick participated in the 4×100 meter relay, placing fourth and came in seventh in the 100-meter race.
Taking place June 5–11, the Special Olympics Games featured more than 4,000 athletes, 10,000 volunteers, 1,500 coaches and 125,000 fans from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. They came together at the 220-acre ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Walt Disney World Resort in the Orlando area to participate in one of the country’s most cherished sporting events.
