Entrepreneurship Students Show Off Their Business Ideas

Students in Deb Coyne’s Entrepreneurship and Small Business Ownership class held an Entrepreneurship Trade Show in the cafeteria on Wednesday, June 1.

The trade show highlighted the culminating projects of the entrepreneurship students. Their task was to create a business and draw up a complete business plan with detailed components, including:

  • Executive summary
  • Company description
  • Products and/or services
  • Marketing plan
  • Operational plan
  • Management and organization
  • Startup expenses and capitalization
  • Financial plan

During the trade show, students explained to visitors their business idea and answered questions about various aspects of their proposed projects.

“I am continuously fascinated by the creativity of my business students,” said Deb Coyne at the event. “The variety of proposals and plans, from niche products to potential businesses with mass appeal, shows that students can be successful as entrepreneurs and definitely have acquired the requisite knowledge to get these ideas funded.”

It will be wonderful to see some of the students realizing their business ambitions in the future!
