To celebrate the Class of 2022, faculty, staff, and administrators gather in the atrium of the Applied Technology Center (ATC) to don their academic regalia.
In addition to the robes which indicate the highest level of academic degree the wearer has earned — bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree — the different colors of the hoods that are worn over the shoulders indicate the specific field of study in which the degree was obtained.
After everyone’s attire has been properly set with the help of colleagues, there is time for a quick group photo before heading off to the stadium to lead the procession of 162 graduates to the commencement ceremonies.
