ConVal Drama presents “Crazy for You” on Thursday, November 12th, Friday, November 13th, and Saturday, November 14th at 7 pm and Sunday, November 15th at 2 pm in the Lucy Hurlin Theatre at ConVal High School. “Crazy for You” features the timeless tunes of George and Ira Gershwin with an updated script filled with the classic Broadway foibles of unrequited love, mistaken identity and big time dreams. Whether you enjoy the heartwarming melodies of “Someone to Watch Over Me” or the toe-tapping beats of “I Got Rhythm”, this production will satisfy all your musical desires!
Spanning the map from New York City to Deadrock, Nevada, lazy cowboys, glitzy showgirls, and enthusiastic tourists come together to put on a once-in-a-lifetime production to save the Gaiety Theatre in the middle-of-nowhere. Assisted by Bobby Child, masquerading as the famed choreographer, Bela Zangler, the show seems destined to bring Bobby together with Polly, the only woman in town. When the REAL Bela Zangler arrives in Deadrock and Bobby’s mother insists on foreclosing on the Gaiety, delightful musical chaos ensues.
