The first day of school at ConVal Regional High School brought many smiles and reunions among friends as the new school year got underway.
In the morning, Principal Heather McKillop and School Resource Officer Justin Hyland greeted students on the apron. After the reading of the Pledge and of the School Mission Statement, students went to their TASC homerooms to connect with their homeroom mentor and fellow students in their TASC group.
After TASC, students proceeded through their regular schedule of classes and had lunch in the cafeteria during Block 3. Principal McKillop stopped by several classes to greet new and returning students.
The day ended with dismissal at 2:20 pm under bright sunny skies.
All in all, it was a fairly routine first school day — just what many were looking forward to after the disruptions caused by the pandemic for the last two years.
