World Language Clubs Gingerbread House Contest

The World Language Clubs (German and Spanish) at ConVal High School held a friendly gingerbread house-building competition recently.

There were simple, traditional designs but also elaborate builds with snowmen, swimming pools, and Christmas trees on the virtual lawn outside the gingerbread house. Some designs featured candy fire coming out of the chimney, and some had Santa on the rooftop.

The completed gingerbread houses were judged on such criteria as cultural authenticity, neatness, and creativity. The overall favorite was gingerbread house #5.

So that all students and staff could enjoy seeing their work, all student designs went on display on the lunch serving counter in the cafeteria.
