Frau Concannon’s German 2 classes recently held their first “Kannst Du überleben?” (“Survivor”) competition. The classes were divided into teams and competed in a banner-making challenge.
The goal was for each team to depict on a banner the flag, crest, and three tourist sites of the German city of their choice. In addition, each team created name tags for team members.
The guest judges, including Principal McKillop and Social Studies teachers Mr. Leonard and Mr. Bowman, selected their favorite banner based on creativity and information.
In Block 1, Team Kӧln (Cologne) won the challenge, and in Block 2, Team Hamburg finished on top.
