Congratulations to senior Maddy Faber, the recipient of this year’s Jack Ford Memorial Scholar Athlete Award for Division II.
“This award is given to only one individual from each division,” said basketball coach Kevin Proctor. “I believe this to be the greatest honor a high school basketball player can be awarded in the state of New Hampshire.”
The Jack Ford Memorial Scholar Athlete Award balances high-level basketball performance with excellence in academic achievement as well as exemplary citizenship and community service. Coaches nominate players from their team and winners are voted on by the coaches at each division level.
The award is named for John “Jack” Ford who coached at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, NH, starting in 1974. His coaching career was highlighted by winning the Class L State Championship in 1992.
