On Saturday, the Ocean Bowl team traveled to Rye where they spent the morning exploring tide pools at Odiorne State Park.
They observed several crabs, shrimp, mussels, barnacles, periwinkle and dog whelk snails, and a larval fish.
After a picnic lunch and a visit to the Seacoast Science Center, the group picked up trash on Rye Beach.
“This was such a fun experience. It was great to see the animals and ecosystems that we’ve been talking about all year,” said sophomore Amanda Bergeron. “Picking up trash was so satisfying!” added Maeve Finn. “It feels good to know you’re making a difference.”
