Plans For ConVal’s August Prom Cancelled

Good Morning ConVal Community,

After much consideration, the ConVal Regional High School administrative team and the Class of 2020 officers have reached a decision regarding prom.

We know the topic of prom has been weighing heavily on everyone’s minds. Over these past few months, we have worked tirelessly to find a way to safely host this event for the class. However, we regret to inform you that prom has been canceled in the interest of everyone’s health and wellbeing. We have come to this decision after much deliberation with students and staff over how we could safely hold this event. While current restrictions issued by Governor Sununu’s office would allow for the event to occur at half capacity, individuals not of the same family would still have to be six feet apart, and all attendees would need to wear face masks.  These restrictions would not allow for activities such as dancing to occur.

The Class of 2020 officers will continue to look into all available options to hold an event in the future or to put the class’s funds to good use. You can stay updated on their plans by following the class Instagram account, @conval2020.
